Who doesn't love mozzarella sticks? Sometimes we eat them as a meal for dinner at our house!
These are super quick and easy, and you don't have to worry about store-bought cheese sticks that not only contain gluten but other ingredients you can't even pronounce! GASP!
I like that I can add pecorino cheese or other spices, and it switches them up. My hubby loves spicier versions, so I can easily add some cayenne pepper to the last half of the batch for him.

- Mix wet ingredients in a bowl and place them on the second plate.
- On the third plate, place your breadcrumbs.
- Set all the plates up in a row.
- Cut your cheese sticks in half.
- Start by rolling them each into the flour mixture, coating them well (even the ends.)
- Next, roll cheese sticks in the egg, coating thoroughly.
- Roll in dry mixture and egg mixture again.
- Then roll in the breadcrumbs.
- Chill your cheese sticks for five minutes before baking.
- Bake for approx. 5 minutes, flip and bake an additional 5 minutes. Watching so they don't burn or start oozing their cheese.
- Serve with a side of homemade marinara sauce.
Enjoy!
