Healthy Peanut Butter Mug Cake

Let's start by saying, I love making mug cakes. That being said, this is one of my top favorites, not only because it is healthy, but it gives me that taste of sweet if I am in the mood. I love peanut butter & chocolate, so this is the perfect combo.

This Healthy & Easy Peanut Butter Mug Cake is super yummy, and you can mix it, cook it, and be enjoying it in under 5 minutes. It is gluten-free, dairy-free, refined-sugar-free, and everyone in your family will devour it. It is also an easy recipe for your kids to help mix up and make their own.

Always use healthy ingredients!

I am very careful that I use natural peanut butter and olive oil. I am not a fan of unhealthy oils in my nut butters, or in general. I also bake with only free-range chicken eggs (usually from my daughters own backyard chickens.)

The benefits of a mug cake are, it is a simple one-time dessert. You can make it for yourself or split it with your spouse as an after-dinner dessert. The kids can also quickly whip this up and enjoy the mug cake that is only for them! Sorry, no leftovers on this recipe! But it is so easy, and you can make it night after night.

This Healthy Peanut Butter Mug Cake is so Delicious! It takes less than 5 minutes. And it is so incredibly yummy and fluffy. I made it using gluten-free flour, honey, and oat milk, so it is pretty healthy. It can even be made vegan by merely trading the egg for flax seed.

To make a mug cake, you simply need a coffee mug and a whisk to create a delicious snack or sweet treat at any time of day. These are perfect when you don't want to bake an entire cake.

You can make this mug cake with just a few simple ingredients:

Gluten-free flour
Baking powder
Egg
Olive oil
Oat milk or Almond milk
Pure maple syrup
Honey
Peanut butter
Dairy-free chocolate chips

Combine the gluten-free flour and baking powder in a small bowl and whisk together.
Add in the rest of the ingredients (except the dairy-free chocolate chips) and whisk until mixed thoroughly.
Pour the mixture into a medium to large size mug and mix in your chocolate chips.
Put your mug in the microwave and cook on high for 2 minutes.
Cool slightly & enjoy!

You can also make a funny face mug cake that the kids will enjoy by simply adding some melted chocolate and additional toppings.

Enjoy!
