Italian Chaffle Recipe (Italian Gluten-Free Bread)

So what is a chaffle? They are egg, cheese, and other ingredients cooked in a mini waffle maker

They replace bread and baked goods for those on a gluten-free, keto, or low-carb diet.

Italian Chaffle

Servings: 2 chaffles

Prep Time: 2 minutes

Cooking Time: 6 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese 
  • ¼ cup shredded parmesan cheese 
  • 2 tablespoons almond flour
  • 1 tablespoon flax meal 
  • ¼ teaspoon Italian herbs
  • 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • 3 sun-dried tomatoes, chopped

Directions:

  1. Preheat the waffle maker. 
  2. Add all of the ingredients into the tomatoes in a bowl, except the tomatoes. Mix them well. Then add the tomatoes and mix again.
  3. Pour ½ of the chaffle batter into the waffle maker and let it cook for 3-4 minutes. Repeat and cook the remaining batter for the second chaffle. 
  4. Serve and enjoy!
