Dairy-Free Gluten-Free Chocolate Chia Seed Pudding Recipe

Want a quick and easy dessert? Then look no further! We have a simple 4 ingredient, chocolate chia pudding, that is dairy-free and gluten-free. YAY!

What is in Chia Pudding?

It has only 4 ingredients in the recipe!

  • 1 Cup Non-Dairy Milk (oat, almond, hemp, walnut, etc.)
  • 3 Tablespoons Cacao Powder (Cacao powder is full of antioxidants)
  • 3 Tablespoons Pure Maple Syrup (use the “real” stuff)
  • 1/4 Cup Chia Seeds (organic is best)

How do you make it? It is so simple and an easy snack for you or your kids to make. Pour all the ingredients into a large measuring cup, and whisk together the nut milk, cacao powder, maple syrup, and chia seeds.

For a creamier consistency, more like a mousse texture, put it in a smoothy cup and blend well. Pour into 2 bowls or cups and chill for a few hours or overnight. You can top with fresh fruit, chocolate shavings, nuts, you name it!

Health Benefits Of Chia Seeds

1 tablespoon of chia seeds equals 5 grams of fiber. 2 tablespoons of chia seeds provide you with 100% of your daily omega-3 requirement. Just go slow at first. Side note, adding fiber to your diet should be done slowly.

Chia seeds are also loaded with antioxidants.

What Kind Of Nut Milk Should I Use?

Use any nut milk of your choice. I would suggest sticking with minimal ingredient nut milk as a healthier option. Or you can make your own nut milk.

No Baking Required!

Our chocolate chia seed pudding is so easy and incredibly delicious. It's probably one of the easiest healthy dessert recipes you can make with no baking.

It is loaded with nutrients, fiber, and antioxidants from both the chia seeds and the cacao powder. A snack that fills your tummy and makes you healthier in the process! WINNER!

Simple Breakfast Idea

Another easy breakfast treat that you can make the night before. Adding fresh fruit and nuts makes it a perfect quick breakfast that will keep you satisfied throughout the morning.

How Long Does The Pudding Last?

It lasts in the fridge for about 4-5 days. Meaning you can prep a few for the week (if they last that long.) This recipe only makes two servings, so double or triple the ingredients for making additional cups.
